A Culture of Innovation

innovation

We live and breathe a culture of innovation at TVG, and from our beginnings we have developed and implemented many business development tools that are now widely used by the life science industry. Highlights include:

  • Formation of a New Media Venture - Launching a new magazine and media tools in 2007 – Biotech360 – in partnership with The Scientist, to cover the issues driving global life science innovation.

  • Introducing an Online Store for Clients - Introduction of a new TVG Online Store in 2007, which will offer a wide array of leading products and services to enhance our clients’ productivity.

  • BayBio Institute: Fostering the Global Bioeconomy – TVG is committed to working with the San Francisco-based BayBio Institute to develop projects that focus on the emerging bioeconomy. In 2008, a series of new initiatives will be implemented on a regional and international level, to contribute to a broader dialogue between stakeholders in this new industrial revolution, based on living systems, which impacts the lives of billions of people.

  • Innovative Information Technology Solutions - In  2004, TVG introduced the first life science conference collaboration software product – biopartnering.com – which features a robust set of planning and business development functions used by TVG and our partners.

  • Planning of Worldwide Biocluster Project - The debut in 2004 of a new virtual business development association called the Global Bioscience Partnership (GBP2.0) which facilitates collaboration between the world’s bioclusters.

  • Largest Life Science Partnering Conference – In 2003, TVG launched BioPartnering North America (BPN) together with LifeScience British Columbia, BioAlberta, and BIOTECanada. From humble beginnings, BPN has become the largest life science partnering conference in Canada and the western United States.

  • Leading VCs and CEOs Gather Annually  - Since 1999, TVG has worked with many of the leading venture capitalists in the U.S. to showcase the best private lifescience companies to potential partners and investors. The C21 BioVentures meeting has become one of the most respected independent venues for meeting CEOs from private companies, and the vcs who invest in them.

  • Creating Europe’s First Life Science Partnering Conference - TVG created BioPartnering Europe (BPE) which was launched in 1993 and has consistently been a market leader. Additional events have followed in Europe, North America, and Asia.

New media products and services are being planned for 2008, which include events, publications, database products, and other innovations.
